From what the prof. said it seems like this kind of stuff will come out during the exam, unfortunately. And I hope so too but it doesn't seem very likely. XD

Such a flattering opinion of UK's educational system! ;)
What languages do you speak, then? :>

And I'll just... take your word for it? ;) Kidding, kidding. But history was never quite my thing (even though I wasn't bad at it) and having had to write an history related essay (modern history, tho) just recently didn't really make me change my mind, lol.
But! Archeology always seemed quite fascinating to me?~
And I went to an icons museum in a monastry once - it was interesting though I was half-dead from tiredness then. XD

I read your previous entry about your sister and I hope she can give you some peace while you revise!

LOL my mum was a teacher for 36 years and I've taught too so I have a verrrrry low opinion of the UK education system :p

Er, I speak a lot of languages very badly - I can read better than I can speak! English, French, German, Latin, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Turkish, some very basic Finnish, some basic Chinese, and my favourite - Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs XD Though if I don't use a language I tend to forget it very quickly :/ or I start mixing it all together and have conversations made up of three different languages HAHA

Is your history paper next month modern too? Japanese history?

Yeah archaeology is cool. Though not so much fun when you have to climb through a bat-infested cave in 34 degree heat. Ugh we all smelled so bad for days afterwards LMAO

Ooh icons are gorgeous. There must be so many beautiful Orthodox icons in Poland!

Yeah, it's gotten better after that tho we still aren't made for living together. Thanks :)

First-hand experience then~ ;) Lots of my relatives happen to be teachers/professors. What did you teach and on what level? :> History?

Woah, even with the disclaimer, it's still mad impressing! How did you even manage to find time for all of these. *__*
And I've always wanted to speak Italian and started learning it back in elementary school but I was a very active kid then so it kept colliding with other extracurricular activities of mine and I resigned. I find it a bit of a pity now. :< And I've only ever learnt French and German at school but now all that's left is enough comprehension to buy a ticket online, lol. Which, I guess, came in handy and it's my own fault for having neglected the languages so I shouldn't complain, lol.
But yeah, as far as reading better than speaking goes, it's English for me. I haven't had an ocassion to speak it in ages. (And with Japanese it's listening rather than reading/speaking, kanjis' courtesy ofc XD Korean is just hard all around, lol.)

The essay that's due to tomorrow is the last one. But subject isn't history, it's more of a preparation for writing dissertation next year? And history just happened to be one of the domains for this semester. But yeah, I wrote about manchurian incident. ^^
Also, we surprisingly don't write essays much? When I see other students during exams they're always writing one essay or other but we have only one subject for which you get credit this way.

Ouch, sounds bad but I'm guessing (hoping? XD) it was worth it? Or are there the cases when such escapades don't really bring desired effects more frequent? It's like a hazard of the job, the way I imagine it. XD

And there may be but there are many more Catholic churches in Poland so it's actually not that easy to see icons? That's the impression I have, at least.

I have a younger brother and I couldn't live with him! I think siblings always fight somehow. I went on a road trip with him to Norway once and at one point we didn't speak for three days HAHA

Yep, I taught history at secondary school then quit because I couldn't bear the lack of discipline and the amount of violence/drugs in the schools in my hometown :/ Awful.

I did three languages at school and the rest I picked up from friends or visiting places. My sister-in-law is Chinese and doesn't speak much English so I had to learn Mandarin!! Latin has actually been the most useful language because I can work out Spanish and Italian from it, so really I cheat with those languages. I've never tried Polish. Does it have very complicated grammar rules?

So it's mainly exams for you? I think my undergrad was 20% essays, 20% dissertation and 60% final exams. Which I guess was pretty fair since some people are bad with cramming for exams so the other marks would balance it out, IDK.

The bat-infested cave had a Bronze Age burial in it but there wasn't very much that was exciting in there. Just lots of bat poo LOL

I have an older brother, we lived together in the same flat and briefly argued maybe once in half a year? So it's clearly just me and her that make for such an explosive combo. But yeah, siblings should be kept at least behind a wall or better yet in a diferent city. XD (Tho I wouldn't mind living with brother? idk, we find common language pretty easily.)

Ah, this sounds horrid :/ While I'm sure there were cases of students taking drugs and stuff, my high school was pretty peaceful. Maybe something to do with it being one of the "better" schools in the town. If anything, my class' problem lay in it being full of people who mostly couldn't care less about most of stuff/had no will to do anything.

...It's getting even more impressive, js. XD You've must have a gift for languages :>
What was it... I've heard once that supposedly learning one language makes it very easy to learn another language as well but not the other way around? But I can't remember what two languages it was about. Spanish, Italian or French. XD
And Polish's grammar... Hmm, it's said to be complicated? It's rather hard to speak it correctly since there are cases and stuff. I wonder about which case to use too, every now and then. XD

Yeah, all exams. And since we don't really have any tests during the semester so there's a lot of material to memorise too. (It's hard to be studious on regular basis without any outside incentives.)
But while exams are ofc exhausting, since I'm awful at writing essays, I'd pick them as the lesser evil.

...XD Must've been disappointing, lol. And I've only seen one bat up close when we went for a trip to Slovkian caves.
